Coronavirus Update

**We will remain OPEN for EMERGENCY appointments.  If you are experiencing a dental emergency.  651-463-2300

The Dentists at The Dental Health Center have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation very closely. We have enhanced infection protocol far above and beyond the standard of care in an effort to help curb the spread of COVID-19.  However, given the emerging information that seems to be updated by the hour we are following the Minnesota Board of Dentistry’s and The Minnesota Dental Association recommendation to postpone any non-emergent or elective dental care for two weeks starting on March 17, 2020 (this may be extended). We anticipate that we will receive more state and federal guidance over the next few weeks concerning COVID-19.  Although this is not currently mandated, we believe it is in the best interest of patients and providers alike.

As Dentists and health care providers we are charged each day in promoting and maintaining health to our patients.  It is in that same interest that we believe postponing non-emergent or elective treatment is for the greater good of YOU THE PATIENT, our staff and all of our families.  In short, we are making this decision based on the greater good of our population’s health.

All hygiene appointments (cleaning appointments) will be postponed for at least two weeks starting Tuesday, March 17th.

The Dental Health Center maintains a standard of infection control year-round that is in compliance with the ADA (American Dental Association) and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
IN ADDITION to those standards, we want you to take comfort in knowing that we have implemented additional precautionary measures to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19.

-Postponement of any non-emergent dental appointments
-Hand sanitizer for each patient at check-in
-1.5% Hydrogen Peroxide mouth rinse for every patient before treatment or cleanings
-Eliminate magazines and Lego table in the reception area
-Scheduled disinfecting of front desk and reception area surfaces with medical grade antiseptic wipes
-Disinfecting of patient “touch” items such as pens and door handles
-Social distancing:

We are committed to take these extra measures to help keep all of OUR PATIENTS, OUR EMPLOYEES and everyone’s FAMILIES safe.
